Aqui veremos como construir uma array de sufixo em tempo linear usando a árvore de sufixo.
Como pré-requisito, devemos saber como construir uma árvore de sufixos de uma forma ou de outra.
Aqui, construiremos uma árvore de sufixo usando o algoritmo de Ukkonen, discutido abaixo:

Se fizermos uma travessia DFS, visitando as bordas em ordem lexicográfica (temos feito a mesma travessia em outros artigos do aplicativo Suffix Tree Application) e imprimimos os índices de sufixo nas folhas, teremos o seguinte:

“$” É lexicograficamente menor que [a-zA-Z].
O sufixo índice 10 corresponde à borda com o rótulo “$”.
Excepto esta uma r índice de sufixo, a sequência de todos os outros números dá a array sufixo da cadeia.
Então, se temos uma árvore de sufixos da cadeia, em seguida, para obtê-lo do array de sufixos, só precisamos fazer uma ordem DFS travessia lexicográfica e armazenar todos o sufixo índices em resultante sufixo array, exceto o próprio 1 st índice sufixo.

A construção da árvore de sufixo de Ukkonen leva O (N) tempo e espaço para construir a árvore de sufixo para uma string de comprimento N e, depois disso, a travessia da árvore leva O (N) para construir a array de sufixo.
Portanto, no geral, é linear no tempo e no espaço.
Você pode ver por que a travessia é O (N) ?? Porque uma árvore de sufixos de cadeia de comprimento N terá no máximo N-1 nós internos e N folhas. O cruzamento desses nós pode ser feito em O (N).
